Our Story

Why Nollaig Exists

Every Christmas, we found ourselves asking the same question.

When did Christmas become something to rush through?

Somewhere along the way, it became about shopping lists, traffic, wrapping paper and trying to fit everything into a few short weeks. The quiet moments that become family traditions were becoming harder to find.

We wanted to create somewhere different, somewhere that invited families to slow down.

A place where children could believe completely for just a little while, and where parents could forget the outside world long enough to believe with them.

Growing up in Ireland, Christmas always felt different. It lived in stories, candlelight, winter walks and neighbours who still found time for one another.

Nollaig was born from those memories.

Every path, every conversation and every resident has been created with one purpose: to make it feel as though you’ve stumbled across a hidden place that has quietly existed all along.

We don’t think the most important part of Christmas comes wrapped beneath the tree.

We think it happens when your child reaches for your hand because they’re nervous. When you hear them whisper that they think Father Christmas is real. When you laugh together without looking at a phone.

Those are the moments that become family traditions. If, years from now, your children remember visiting Nollaig as one of the moments that made Christmas feel magical, then we will have created exactly what we set out to build.

Welcome to our world.
Welcome to Nollaig.
